Waders
Whether they prefer thigh, chest, or full-body style, sportsmen everywhere rely on waders to help keep them dry while trying to catch the big one! Waders allow the fisherman (or waterfowl hunter) to venture into deeper waters. While the image of people fly-fishing, wearing waders as they elegantly cast their poles back and forth immediately comes to mind to many, waders are also used in times of emergency to help first responders navigate deep waters after flooding. In August 1989, Jon Nicholson patented his version of thermoplastic-rubber waders featuring rubber footwear on the bottom (US Pat. No. 4,858,342), and fishermen everywhere let out a “trout!”
