Arrows
Long before shotguns were readily available, people relied a great deal on bows and arrows to hunt. Native Americans mastered the art of using bows and arrows to kill game for food and clothing – no part of the animal was wasted. Today, skilled game hunters take advantage of specific hunting times for bow hunting. Arrows such as the one patented by Joseph Kikos in 2009 (US Pat. No. 7,632,199) assist bow hunters in tracking the arrows they use by housing a GPS within the arrow. But bows and arrows aren’t used exclusively for hunting. Archery is one of the oldest sports still practiced and remains an Olympic sport (summer games). While the 2020 Olympic games have been postponed until July-August 2021, join us this month as we celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Month.
Coming up tomorrow, we have two blog posts for International Day of the Nacho and National Apple Day! Be sure to check them out.
