Women's History Month, Dr. Patricia E. Bath

At Behmke Innovation Group, as we celebrate Women’s History Month throughout March, today we applaud Dr. Patricia E. Bath who received a patent for her Apparatus for Ablating and Removing Cataract Lenses on May 17, 1988 (US Pat. No. 4,744,360). Dr. Bath’s method uses lasers to remove cataracts from the eye in a less-invasive way, helping to restore or improve vision to millions of patients worldwide, making it one of the most important developments in the field of ophthalmology.
