Bologna Day
My bologna has a first name – it’s “O-S-C-A-R” and you can finish the rest in your head! Today we celebrate the go-to lunchmeat on National Bologna Day. The familiar yellow and red Oscar Mayer package was patented in January 1966 (US Pat. No. 3,229,810) by Robert L. Goller, et al. Whether you like your bologna sausage on white bread with mustard and lettuce, or fried with pickles and cheese – sandwich lovers can’t get enough of the lunchmeat.
Check out our blog post tomorrow where we’ll be talking about National Art Day!
