National Bobblehead Day
Nodding head figures date back to at least the 1760, but bobbleheads as we know them today really arrived in the 1960s when MLB created and sold them to celebrate the 1960 World Series. Four players were immortalized in paper mache and ceramic that day – Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Willie Mays. Today, bobbleheads are available depicting favorite television and music stars, as well as sports heros. And, you can create a bobblehead of anyone but using a Bobblehead Photograph Frame such as the one patented by James Yarnall in November 2004 (US Pat. No. 6,810,611). Pop in a photo of your favorite person and their head will start bopping! #nationalbobbleheadday #bigiplaw #patentfunfacts #bobble
