Homemade Cookie Day

Chocolate chip? Oatmeal raisin?  Snickerdoodle?  What is your favorite homemade cookie?  Comment below letting us know!  There is nothing like walking into a home where cookies have just been baked.  Grab a glass of milk and join us in celebrating Homemade Cookie Day!  In November 1875, A.P. Ashbourne patented a new biscuit cutter which allowed bakers to cut nine biscuits at a time in various designs (US Pat. No. 170,460).  Today, hundreds of cookie cutters are available for home use – from basic hearts to more elaborate floral bouquets.   Of course, you can always just drop a spoonful of dough on the cookie sheet and let the oven do the rest!
