Game and Puzzle Week

Family togetherness.  Many of us have had a LOT of together time this year as we self-isolated.  And this week as we’ll be spending time with family for Thanksgiving, celebrating togetherness and turkey, and #gameandpuzzleweek.  Monopoly has been a family favorite (and inspired many a table flips) since it the game was patented in December 1935 by Charles B. Darrow, assignor to Parker Brothers, Inc. (US Pat. No. 2,026,082).  The patent itself is really fun to look at as it details all the various pieces and main premise of the game.  Currently, the World Record for the number of different versions of Monopoly is held by Neil Scallan (@ScallanNeil) with nearly 3000 versions!  That’s some game closet.  Comment below with your favorite Monopoly playing piece, or with your favorite board game. #bigiplaw #patentfunfacts #boardgames #cheaters #monopoly
