National Maple Syrup Day

It’s hard to imagine pancakes without maple syrup.  Pure maple syrup glistens like liquid gold – but tastes a whole lot better!  Some maple syrup facts – it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of maple syrup.  The maple sugaring season only lasts 4 to 6 weeks.  Move to Vermont if you want quick access to syrup as they produce about 50% of the US crop.  It’s not surprising to learn that one of the first patents related to the manufacturing of maple sugar was awarded to Vermonter John H. Fairchild in June 1962 for a Sap-Spout (US Pat. No. 35,561).  #nationalmaplesyrupday @bigiplaw #patentfunfacts #maplesyrup #maplesugaring #vermont
